Scenes from transit hubs can recall pre-pandemic days, before the Bay Area settled in to work from home and largely abandoned public transit.

On a 10-3 vote, CARB adopted amendments to the Cap & Invest Program that will eliminate critical $$$ for affordable housing, transit, & clean air programs. Though we lost the vote, we found new unity between housing, transit, enviro & EJ groups. Together, we'll bring our fight push to the Capitol.

California extends its key climate program, but critics say it's being weakened
The updated cap-and-invest program determines how aggressively the state will curb planet-warming greenhouse gas emissions and how billions of dollars in revenue will flow.

With the agreement, ~$1.6B in continuous transit funding hangs in the balance. This is not unexpected, as any action on this funding will be looped into broader Cap-and-Trade discussions. Negotiations now proceed with Gov to reach a three-party agreement. Action on C&T expected this summer. 2/3
