I play games and study radiation with some streamy stuff in between. Occasionally post SE Alaska photos or food. Honestly very few skeets about my actual field, mostly shitposts and replies.

I adore the rain but it does make it more challenging to stay active. Beautiful views like this certainly help with the motivation though!
A bearded man in a grey hooded raincoat stands on the right of frame, with ocean and green forested mountains in the distance on left of frame. An old winch hangs by a moss-covered metal roof, silhouetting an ocean view with forested islands in the distance. Low cloud cover hangs just above the horizon. Brown grass and a few trees with little foliage sit on the right and left of frame.

Grabbed this shot of the sunset a couple days ago...looked over from my desk and the whole living room was lit up in oranges and purples!
Sunset view of mountains and ocean. The sunset is shining through clouds, so the entire visible sky in the shot is some hue other than typical blue, oranges and purples abound.

Fragmented lines that individually might make up the doodle of a cat, possibly two, but the scales and placement are all incorrect, creating a chaotic mess.

My earlier reskeet made me realize there's nothing here linking to the game jam stuff I've done. They're all listed on my itch page dnevill.itch.io and were done in collaboration with a various folks from @lydlbutton.bsky.social 's community. (None of my solo projects are ready to share...yet!)

Y’ALL! Scientists at Schmidt Ocean just captured this rare video of an open-ocean squid caring for its young. That pearl-packed black bag between its tentacles is a brood pouch, each pearl is a developing baby squid (you can see a few hatch out at the end). Nature is so cool. 🧵 🪼🦑🐙🌿🧪

Certainly not the earliest for me but one of the most memorable of those early gaming day wins for me because the ending of the game was such a let down and it was SUCH a tough game for young lil' Delvan. (Legendary Wings, NES)
An 8-bit era video game screen. The words "THANK YOU FOR PLAYING" centered in white with brass filligree decorating the border, blue stones in the top corners and red stones in the bottom corners and top center add accents.

I see we've reached the "famous artist credibly accused of sexual assault wasn't actually a great artist and you're a chump for liking him" phase. Consider that pretending terrible people can't make great art helps terrible people who make great art whedon their way into vulnerable communities.

Neptunite - Does not contain neptunium Arsenuranospathite - Does contain arsenic, does contain uranium, likely even contains trace neptunium from neutron activation of U-238 The radioactivity makes this easy, and double shame on neptunite for the false advertising on its radioactivity. #MinCup23

Stibnite looks like it could be a control input from Flight of the Navigator! Sodalite would be in an antique shop on a shelf and overpriced due to its 'healing energy'. Easy choice here. #MinCup23 (attempt number 3 to post still learning Bluesky's image aspect ratio rules)
Stibnite side by side with Sodalite with commentary. Stibnite: Metal(oid) AF, its probably in your batteries. 5D technorgano-arachnid? Lethally cool. Used by alchemist to make the MFin Philospher's Stone (although immortality is probably a curse more than a blessing). Sodalite: I dunno maybe on a bracelet? Gets scratched by dust. A skull? I HAVE a skull already, where tf do I put this? So sof. (has been used as a currency I guess). Sodaliteweight can't hold its own in a fight.
