Arrived in Qingdao on Tuesday with visa-free entry on my UK passport to visit colleagues at #SDUST. Entry was smooth, with only routine questions about the duration of my return ticket. Visa-free entry to China is a welcome boost in supporting UK–China scientific collaboration. #ScienceDiplomacy

My takeaways from the 10th uk geothermal mtg: 1) Don’t screw it up (a general message to uk community) 2) community buy in is essential 3) Exemplars are needed 4) Spreading risk across portfolios of projects will attract investors 5) Skills / training is needed, particularly for system operation
