a lil hc for this AU - Toge trying to save his silly human from the very evil pufferfish that keeps trying to swallow him whole!! @ottoge-2026.bsky.social #ottg26sfw day 4 prompt: siren/mermaid 🐟🧊 #inuokko #ottoge #乙棘

Comic depicting Yuuta Okkotsu as a polar marine biologist and Toge Inumaki as a snowy pale, icefish-like mer. Expedition member Yuuta in a heavy parka and thick clothing is sitting with Toge who has a long fish tail, fin-like ears, large fins on its back and tail, and glowing patterned marks on his skin. They sit together on the ice near an anchored research vessel where Yuuta is studying the mer calmly. Close-up panels show the mer looking wary and Yuuta happily talking to the other, despite the apparent language barrier. Without warning, Toge lunges at the human with bared teeth.

The lunge causes alarm among the other scientists. But instead of fighting back, Yuuta catches and holds the mer securely against his chest, telling the others to stay away. The last panel reveals Toge snarling and growling only at Yuuta's fur-lined hood and coat, which he seems to interpret as a separate creature that's trying to swallow Yuuta whole. Yuuta responds with an amused expression, joking that the mer must not be a fan of the coat.

no one save this trembling puppy - he's exactly where he wants to be. @ottoge-2026.bsky.social #ottg26sfw day 1 prompt: jock/nerd 📚🏈 #inuokko #ottoge #乙棘

Illustration showing Yuuta Okkotsu and Toge Inumaki in a school hallway standing very close by a row of lockers. Yuuta, wearing a preppy vest over a white shirt looking very nerdy, leans back awkwardly holding books to his chest protectively while Toge, wearing a varsity jacket over a striped shirt and jeans, is caging him against the wall with one arm, looking up with a challenging expression. He's cheekily sticking out his tongue, revealing his tongue piercing. Thought bubbles reveal Yuuta noticing the other's fresh herbal scent and slightly curly wet hair after a shower, both intimidated and endeared by the other boy.

fratboy toge is such an ass and i love him #inuokko #ottoge

Toge spends most of the lecture daydreaming, doodling in his notebook, or sending memes to the ΩΤK group chat. When class ends, he notices Okkotsu shoot out of his seat and make a beeline for him.

“Inumaki,” he says as he approaches. “We’re meeting this afternoon at six.”

Toge raises an eyebrow and nods. “I know.”

“Just making sure you didn’t forget.”

“This meeting could have been an email, dude.” Toge grabs his backpack and starts towards the door. “See you at six,” he signs lazily and one-handed over his shoulder as he leaves the classroom.

you can't tell me post-canon Yuuta "has too little interest in himself" Okkotsu EVER bothers to cut his hair when he's out on missions... but for some reason, everyone around him is always very quick to help out whenever he returns. #inuokko #ottoge #乙棘

An illustration showing Yuuta Okkotsu and Toge Inumaki somewhere in their late twenties in a domestic moment. Yuuta - just returned from a solo mission - is sitting shirtless seemingly after a shower with his dark hair reaching past his shoulders now, while Toge stands behind him, gently playing with his hair, his left arm replaced by an artificial limb. On the side, a small sketch shows Yuuta featuring a half-up, half-down man bun hairstyle - which considering his forehead scar - makes him look a lot like Kenjaku, immediately causing war flashbacks in Toge. The overall mood is warm and lighthearted.

while it's still Mermay can i interest anyone in polar marine biologist Yuuta and his fierce lil deep sea creature friend? 🐟🧊 #inuokko #ottoge #乙棘

Illustration showing Yuuta as a marine biologist kneeling on an Antarctic ice shore, enthusiastically reaching towards merman Toge who's sitting by the water, nervously hissing and snarling at him.
Yuuta is bundled up in a thick blue duffle jacket with a fur-lined hood and holds on to a clipboard, while Toge's merman form is pale and almost-translucent with long, lavender fins adorning his back, forearms and sides, his long white tail curled protectively behind him.
The background shows icy water, floating ice and distant snowy mountains under a cloudy sky.
Added to the corner as commentary, there's fellow scientist and glaciologist Miwa, looking alarmed, warning Yuuta not to get too close.

Toge teaching Yuuta how to master cursed speech is my roman empire #inuokko #ottoge #乙棘

An illustration of first year Yuuta Okkotsu and Toge Inumaki in training attire, standing on their school's running track after training Yuuta's cursed speech. The taller Yuuta looks flustered as Toge gently pulls Yuuta's face closer to examine the slightly smeared copy of cursed marks on his cheeks. While Toge is concentrated on assessing any damage, Yuuta nervously insists he’s fine, blushing profusely, clearly distracted by how close Toge is leaning in.

Stuff I did for last year's nobamaki week! #nobamaki #のばまき #jjk

Three chibi pieces of Nobara and Maki from JJK.

the topmost one shows Maki as a vampire, smiling and bearing her fangs at Nobara, who is a werewolf crouching at her feet.

The bottom left piece shows Nobara and Maki in their summer outfits walking together. Maki has her long hair, pre Shibuya look while holding a popsicle. Nobara is watching her talk with a smile on her face and a pool donut around her waist.

The bottom right piece shows Maki and Nobara in a Maki as the clan head AU, where they are wearing traditional Japanese kimonos, and Maki is wearing a montsuki haori hakama.

Toge fandom I know you’re out there does anyone hear me. 1/2

A tumblr post by rhythmic-idealist. Text:

I've always figured Toge pictures himself with a particularly short expiration date. for all of the normal sorcery reasons, but with the additional reasons that: think it's always been clear clear to him. this is 100% headcanon) that the higher ups will only tolerate him until they get too scared of him. and as he becomes stronger and improves with his technique, that puts him basically on a timer, no matter what other lines he toes.

it's not as explicit as Yuuji's impending execution, but it's a similar philosophy. okay this thing is on a leash for us for now. it's a similar willingness to make use of him, because we feel secure in the idea that if things start getting out of hand we can cut this short.

and yeah he's one of Satoru's strays but that really only means so much. Yuuji died while being one of the kids under Satoru's vague protection. it's really, really easy to arrange any accident like that. "oops cursed spirit is a higher grade than we were told" is literally a fanfic convention bc it keeps happening.

Gojo is spread thin trying to do something for Everyone, and Toge might land anywhere inside that agenda and he knows that

like. congratulations Gojo, Toge is also one of your biggest success stories re letting a kid be a kid when they otherwise would not be. but you have provided no HOPE in this scenario.

I tend to interpret the mall scene as a succinct way to give us an overview of like, where Toge is at and what Yuuta is about to be in his life: yes mostly we've got Toge being like well I'm the one here who knows how to fucking fight so l'm gonna protect the rookie, but the scene where Yuuta runs after him and Toge accepts it is one I take as: Toge is very much settled into I'm Not Going To Look For Anyone To Fight For Me.

Yuuta rolls into his life and shakes that
be Yuuta is that, to both Maki and Toge. it's like, the number one piece of Yuuta characterization we get in JJKO aside from the backstory baggage. Maki doesn't wind up taking him up on it, but the mall scene is functionally Toge's

equivalent to when Yuuta goes whoa Maki can I support you when you kill your whole clan or whatever?

so yeah Gojo is out here trying to do some big nebulous thing but that doesn't really mean dick for Toge aside from the fact that he gets to exist right now and do some good right now.

Yuuta rolls up and decides he's in this for Maki and Toge and Panda, and.
….……okay, that. that might be something.

and I mean. I probably don't need to state that I think Toge isn't out here thinking about people in terms of how powerful they are; that shit puts a bad taste in his mouth like it does for most decent people, but he exists in sorcery society and he's got to be Aware of the very simple fact that. the thing is the way the deck has always been stacked is a way where he can't win. and unfortunately he's starting to become aware that Yuuta very much seems committed enough to change that. the thing is the minute anything gets too big for Toge to manage on his own all he has to do is turn to his

side and ask.

so! then they sent Yuuta overseas!

and I'm thinking about Toge trying to have the feeling he's supposed to be having I miss my friend) while also trying to PRIVATELY (privately!!!!!!!) deal with the other feeling he is having ("ok nevermind nevermind nevermind nevermind!*) (hey, its my old friend Crashing Hopelessness About My Circumstances. didn't think I would see this one again!!

sitting there like. okay so. things being what they are I can never assume he's coming back again, Toge Inumaki this is why you don't do long-term hope you big stupid idiot. i thought that door was sufficiently closed. can we get over this and be a normal empathetic friend for three seconds.

when youve spent so, so long going im not looking to anyone else to fight for me, im not, im not, i know how this ends
and then. guy of I Will Fight For My Friends rolls

An illustration of Yuta Okkotsu showing him with both hands raised and extended forward in a fighting stance, suggesting control and readiness, as if channeling cursed energy. He stands turned slightly over his shoulder against a bold red background. His dark, tousled hair frames an intense expression, tired but conveying quiet resolve. He wears his standard high-collared white uniform shirt, sleeves rolled up, emphasising his lean build.

He planned for this. He could do this.
Yuuta looked over his shoulder and nodded at Toge's maid of honor, Maki, who then reached behind the white trellis.
She walked up to the couple, glancing at Yuuta.
"Don't mess it up, loverboy," she chided. Maki may tease him, but it had no discernible bite to it, especially given the proud look she wore on her face. She smiled as she placed a wicker-woven basket full of fresh red and white flowers of varying types on the altar.

An illustration of Okkotsu Yuuta sitting pensively on stone steps beneath blossoming tree branches. He has short, tousled dark hair and dark blue eyes with a tired, melancholic expression and heavy eyebags. He is dressed in his school uniform, a white, high-collared jacket with rolled-up sleeves, dark trousers, and white high-top sneakers. He wears his katana in a weapon bag tied with a white ribbon on his back.

His body language conveys a sense of melancholy - he sits with his knee pulled up close to his chest, fingers playing pensively with Rika's ring on his left ring finger while gazing off into the distance.
