Until 1933, Germany received 1/3 of all Nobel Prizes in science. Since 1933, the US has received 1/3 of all Nobel Prizes in science. Trump is likely to reverse this. Europe should take this opportunity, but it needs to deregulate & raise professorial salaries for top talent.

Trudeau didn’t directly address Europeans but he nevertheless had an important message for Europe. Engaging with the Trump administration‘s strawman arguments in good faith is no use. In that sense MAGA people seem to have read their Russian playbook very carefully.

Seit drei Jahren müssen Menschen in der Ukraine das Unerträgliche ertragen. Dass Putin in der Zeit keines seiner Kriegsziele erreicht hat, ist ein schwacher Trost angesichts der Opfer.
