#FivePlacesFiveDollars #FiveDollarsInSomeonesName Give to food banks in the name of someone you love, whom you would not want to see starving. Make it touch your soul. @joesegal.bsky.social @davidamerland.com @joenewberry.bsky.social @teacher4411.bsky.social @realtexaspaul.com 🫂🦋🤓

Absolutely this. Please donate MONEY if you can. Feeding a hungry person is a good cause in all cases. #FivePlacesFiveDollars #FoodbanksGetTheWholeThing

I have driven to foodbanks to load up for Thanksgiving and I remember my little car packed to the rafters, to be given to families. Foodbanks can get better prices if you donate actual dollars. This is where my whole #FivePlaces goes this time around. #FivePlacesFiveDollars #Donate #FeedOurPeople🦋🤓

Those of us who remember watching "Roots" may remember the scene where Tom Murray goes to vote for the first time. The people at the polls demand that he read part of the Constitution. He does. Then they ask him to tell them what it means, and because he can't answer the way they want.....

It's nice that the federal government did this. The current government is an object lesson that good things can be taken away. There is nothing to stop #ThePeople from formulating this data again #independently. AAMOF, how are we going to form these agencies and monitor our own?

#AReading from #JoeSegal #Thoughts on #KindnessandCompassion This will be threaded, because the words this morning immediately pierced my soul and they deserve to be posted in their entirety. Thank you Joe! @joesegal.bsky.social @davidamerland.com Photo has correct and needed #ALTTEXT 🦋🤓

Helping others releases powerful happiness hormones in our brain and helps us feel good. Human beings are wired to help one another so we can survive as a species. So share the words from this book with others! Thank you!"

I think all book lovers should have access to a portal where time and space is suspended and all you have to do is enjoy the stories. @mybibliotheca.org

I live in an apartment- not much space. But I found a #hardback copy of a book that has stayed with me, and now it will #StayWithMe. Now, if only there was a way to send it to @diane.dianeduane.com for an actual autograph...... Read #SpocksWorld folks. It is So worth it. #Timely 🤓 #BookSky

I read this and found it fascinating.

I regard adding words to the "Moderation" section of BlueSky to be a public service. Benefit: I can focus on being a better human instead of an angry one all the time.

To begin this process, #YouTheHuman need to decide your terms. Here are mine. They are posted on my #MindSide because they require #Thought and #Choice. 1. I #choose belief in a Creator who is generous and who gave us everything we would need. 2. I support #EveryoneHavingEnough 🫂🦋🤓

This morning I begin with an honest acknowledgment of where I sit and what I am observing. Someone else wrote and sang it, but it resonates in my soul. youtu.be/Yq7FKO5DlV0?...

Good night and make your last thought one of peace.

I believe #Peace should be our default. And I hope it will be for all one day.

I share the grief over what we could have had. But we must accept what did not happen and fight for what we want moving forward. Our rage and anger at what did not happen is useless. We must vote rightly, and while we mourn. However that looks for you, I grieve with thee. #A'Tha #Cthia #IYKYK 🖖🦋🤓

Today, I have a suggestion to combat #ragebait. Whatever you read, post, witness- before you respond to it take one single deep breath, to get back to your logical analytical mind. THEN speak. Your #emotion will have a better stage. #Breathe #PostLoveBait

Besides the absolute joy of being in #ThudePark in Chandler again, I visited an old friend. This tree is one I pass under as I walk the berm. It is vital and green on one side, and dry and leafless on the other. Metaphor. Both sides are still the tree. That's why I shook hands with both sides. 🫂🦋🤓

How do we stop our children from having tantrums? Ignore them. How do we stifle arguments? Refuse to rise to the bait. How do we change the narrative? CHANGE THE SUBJECT.
