It is with infinite sadness that we learned of the passing of Clarisse Orniacki. She joined @vdoye.bsky.social lab and defended her thesis in December 2022 and pursued her career with a postdoc in‬ @tedfon.bsky.social at McGill University in Montreal . Tribute 🔗 www.ijm.fr/tribute-to-c...

Bonsai: Tree representations for distortion-free visualization and exploratory analysis of single-cell omics data
Single-cell omics methods promise to revolutionize our understanding of gene regulatory processes during cell differentiation, but analysis of such data continues to pose a major challenge. Apart from...

It’s so exciting to see more and more scientific agencies and institutions joining 🦋 I feel like this is exactly what was missing on other platforms. In my opinion, it will definitely help strengthen the scientific community here! 💪🧬

www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1... Our study published today on #bioRxiv describe the identification of a deaminase that converts 5mC to T, enabling direct sequencing of the human methylome and genome. This achievement was made possible through a collaborative effort across all departments at #NEB.

I've been meaning to write a lengthy thread about our experiences with DNA methylation editing in mouse ESCs if that would be useful (or interesting?) for a niche audience here. tl;dr: it was frustrating but we learned a lot, and it ended with our shiny new pub (1/17) www.nature.com/articles/s41...
