Is this possibly due to the fact that the Polaris would, in theory, be the lead or escort to other ships? So there's not much need for the Polaris by itself to carry much weaponry when things like the Perseus would be following it around? Just a thought.

i think one way of benchmarking whether a work of 'lovecraftian' fiction is going to have something worthwhile to say is seeing if it it has you go to not-innsmouth and mow down the fishmen, i.e. the spectres of lovecraft's fear of miscgenation

I'm really upset about the Discord bullshit because here's been my experience with Root: - Messaging stuff is fine. It's basically where Discord was back in like 2018. - Audio is abysmal. 1-2 second delays, crackling, taking many seconds to connect. - Somehow uses more resources than Discord.
