I for one am happy Doug Ford spent $189M of our dollars so he could call a snap election so he could get a clear mandate to protect Ontario from people in wheelchairs holding a sign.

I built a thing. I LOVED making it. It's called TinyLittleOffice. It's a web office suite (word processor, outliner, decks, spreadsheet, calculator, drawing tool, diagram maker, animator, calendar, trip planner) that stores the docs in your URL. tinylittleoffice.com?c=hgmcggn#/v...

This is quite extraordinary. I don't think I have heard a more coherent, articulate and accurate deconstruction & demolition of Nigel Farage's ReformUK, Tory & Restore policy than this. In under 85 seconds! @rafaelbehr.bsky.social is on here folks and worth a follow.

Kind of reminds me of the plot of the Lawnmower Man. ... Or actually, perhaps it is the Exorcist. Sorry, your smart lightbulb is possessed by one small part of a super clever distributed intelligence made from countless rogue AI worms.

Is it more interesting to create things or to check them? The big problem with the "verification tax" is that the result is probably no better but the work becomes a tedious chore. Using AI is like the opposite of automation. #TeamCompSci www.nytimes.com/2026/10/10/b...

Generations before us fought for walkable streets. They set for us the example we need today. Cleveland 1961: “WALL OF MOTHERS: … Approximately 200 mothers stood along the edge of the road, giving their schoolchildren protection from the traffic.”

I live in Essex. The other week I cycled past a car with its two back wheels off, lying splayed out on the road on either side of the car. Like a sort of squashed frog. Essex is a bit funny when it comes to doing weird shit with cars.

Donor frame secure. It wasn't my first choice or as cheap as my first choice but silly me put his ebay bid in with 20 seconds to go instead of the golden 7 seconds to go and got outbid in the last second.

... My idea is to make a fixed gear fat bike. I've already got a fair bit of what I need but I'm wondering if anyone has got an idea for a frame. Something with wide enough drop outs for a 29x2.4 tyre but the sort of frame I can find on eBay. Like an old 29" MTB for instance. Any 💡? 😊
