Donor frame secure. It wasn't my first choice or as cheap as my first choice but silly me put his ebay bid in with 20 seconds to go instead of the golden 7 seconds to go and got outbid in the last second.

Morning! It's the first time I've been up here since the first side of summer. You can really see how low the water level has got in the Enfield reservoir!

Sort of similar, I'm trying this out, I need them to write down key points from the lesson. They are not very good at condensing and summarising yet (or even recognising what the key points are so they try to copy everything)

Today is Big Bike Ride day. Heading off quite late though because a mate from climbing is joining me and he has to finish work first. So train to Pewsey at 6, ride on to the Ridgeway & wild camp somewhere and then do the main bit tomorrow.

Planning my next big bike ride. Hopefully I will do this over a weekend at some point towards the end of July.
Route on OS maps starting at Pewsey train station and following the NCR to the end of the Ridgeway, right along the Ridgeway and then into Welwyn Garden City via the Ayot Greenway, then along the Cole Greenway to Hertfordshire and finally back to Epping Forest via the River Lea.

For food measure, here is a picture of a well used bicycle chains that were used in both the heatwave and the following muddy deluge. Had these been oiled my fingers would be covered in nasty gritty oily greasy horrible stuff and some of it would probably have got onto my jeans.

The Ridgeway could be on the cards to be my next expedition. I could get a train to Pewsey near one end and pick up another train to take me home from Tring near the end in one day or do an overnighter and cycle home as well.

I'm in Chester Le Street near Durham, walking along the riverside path. There are so many beautiful little gems here.
A path leads down to the river, a fallen willow, still living happily, makes an archTed the dog plays in the sparkling water
