Wife's grandparents lived right under the Heathrow flightpath, although slightly further out than this. To be honest, after a bit you just tune it out. As a plane nerd, through, I loved sitting in their garden listening to the ATC on my scanner and watching the jets fly over.

I find a very sharp pair of tweezers best. It gets properly compacted by the plug until the connections no longer make contact. Try sticking a cocktail stick in and having a good rummage around.

I was a scout leader when that episode landed. My scouts all started calling me "Pickle Rich!", and I had no idea why. They wrote it on my stuff. They refused to explain. Drove me mad. Since watched R&M. Love that episode. It's genius.

I think what Badenoch meant to say here is: “British employers are dependent on welfare to subsidise a massively underpaid workforce” - particularly when you consider that around 40% of claimants are actually in work. But that’s just me splitting hairs, I suppose.
