One minor downside to having a cat is they don't react when you're being intentionally ridiculous. I found out I made a mistake in my computer stuff and said "Oh well! You live and you learn! ...and you hang on the edge of tomorrow" and my cat looked at me nonchalantly like "yes those are words"

A lifetime ago a roommate and I brought our gaming PCs into an IHOP in the middle of the night. We talked with our server about our favorite games and she introduced me to those Plants vs Zombie games, it was nice. I can't imagine doing that at a restaurant during normal hours.

The Game Awards was always an ads show, though? Initially it was one a network that had nothing to do with games and they had celebrities on that hadn't touched a video game in their life. Seeing new trailers was the only thing that made it almost worth watching for most of its run.

For server stuff, if you have the HDD space then a Plex or Jellyfin server is nice for TV/movies. Plex is easier to use outside of your home network, but the company behind it has a track record of dumb decisions every few months until their userbase riots and they (sometimes) revert the changes.
