Tweet from @drewtoothpaste

"In 1988, Front 242 asked anton corbijn to direct the video for their song Headhunter. it wasn't until the band got the finished video back that they realized Corbijn thought they said Egghunter, so the video is full of eggs"

If I understand the trailer correctly, in this scene the mom is telling young Steve Gutenberg that his father just became in POW in the Vietnam War. So, yeah... 🤷
A teenage boy and his mother are standing in a very modern kitchen with a flat screen television on the wall behind them. In the background Dan Lauria and a young boy sit at a table in in a breakfast book.

Oh, it turns out Blue Harbor is basically a "vanity" movie distributor. That makes more sense as to why this is getting released. variety.com/2023/film/ne...
Blue Harbor Entertainment says it will offer marketing and distribution services, overseeing a movie’s rollout across theatrical, home entertainment and digital streaming platforms, as well as arranging its television deals. In return it will charge a service fee. The goal is to help filmmakers find a better way to self-distribute their movies. Every year, several movies hit the festival circuit looking to sell themselves to a distributor, but the reality is that many fail to secure a deal in a timely fashion or have to settle for an arrangement that isn’t terribly profitable.

There are a lot of people reading a misleading headline and not the article who think the waymo literally drove the car to the police station with the kids trapped inside, which is of course not what happened. This line from an NBC story makes it sound like the doors weren't even locked
Waymo shared the car's location with authorities and remotely disabled it near 20th Avenue and El Camino Real while officers moved into position. To keep the teens from leaving, the company told them the vehicle was experiencing mechanical trouble, police said.

Here it is: www.stuff.co.nz/entertainmen...
You can draw a line from Pink Flamingos to Jackass quite easily.

"Oh sure, absolutely", Waters says proudly. "And I love Jackass. Johnny [Knoxville] is great; he's a sweetheart. He's sensitive and funny and he's not at all homophobic, but he's also definitely straight. But what's amusing to me," and the chuckle is seeping in to this story, "is that I went to Jackass 3D here in Baltimore. And I loved it! But the theatre is full of grown men with their young sons. They're all watching these guys on the screen shoving things up their butt. I mean it's a thin line between these worlds, isn't it?"

Sounds like his management might have pushed her on him if he was wary from the beginning variety.com/2026/music/n...
“TOUR UPDATE: M.I.A is no longer on this tour. I told my management to send a notice to her team before we started tour that I didn’t want anything offensive at my shows, cuz I already knew what time it was, and I was assured things were understood. After the last couple shows, I’ve been flooded with messages from fans that were upset by her rants. This, to me, is very disappointing, and I wont have someone on my tour making offensive remarks that upsets my fanbase. Thank you for understanding. Rager.”

He seems to have a very... Interesting relationship with the character www.yahoo.com/entertainmen...
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Grammer was asked about the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. While he said he couldn’t speak too much about it, he was overly excited to return as the character, who he likened to legendary activist Martin Luther King Jr.

“To come back as Beast has been one of the great experiences of my life,” said Grammer. “Because I always loved the character. I always thought of him as sort of the Martin Luther King of the mutant generation. He stood for rights, for equality, just a beautiful character…strong, tough, a little hairy, a little blue.”

I'm driving a 2019 (final model year) Ford Flex and I'd say it's the last real station wagon an American car manufacturer put out. It's got the ground clearance of a sedan and a ludicrous 350hp turbo charged engine. I will keep this silly vehicle going as long as it will let me.

Somehow I think Mick decided on the costume before they cast the part 😂
He wrote a screenplay of Clive Barker's "The Body Politic" to serve as the film's second part after "Chattery Teeth."[3] Casting director Lynn Kressel, who previously worked with Garris on The Stand (1994) and The Shining (1997), came up with the idea of Christopher Lloyd as Quicksilver; while the network loved the decision, Garris was a bit skeptical, reasoning that he want a "little more seductive" actor to play the part.[3] In the end, however, Garris loved the decision.[3]

This would genuinely be hilarious
Enforcement against Linux distributions, however, is likely to be problematic. Distros like Arch, Ubuntu, Debian, and Gentoo have no centralized account infrastructure, with users downloading ISOs from mirrors worldwide, and can modify source code freely. These small distros lack legal teams or resources to implement the required API, so a more realistic outcome for non-compliant distros is a disclaimer that the software is not intended for use in California.

The downside to this approach is when the majority response is "bro your house is literally on fire get out now why are you on Reddit" www.reddit.com/r/AskElectri...
Recent post from r/AskElectricians. Most common response was "get the hell out of there why are you on Reddit"

"We started smelling burnt wire and I noticed that my breaker box is glowing orange. Also there is one breaker that tripped when I plugged in a small space heater. My room gets cold and I was using it to supplement my heat pump/aux heat. I turned off the heater and the orange glow went away.

A little while later I noticed the smell again and saw that it was glowing orange again. My aux heat was running. I turned off the aux heat and the glow went away.

I’m in the middle of a snow storm and can’t find an electrician. Any advice? We have the breaker that tripped turned off."

Here's the artist's description. I'm not sure that the piece really conveys what he intended, but there you go.
"For the cover of the December 8, 2025, issue, the cartoonist Klaas Verplancke wanted to capture how, as he put it, “shiny gold pales in comparison to the charm of Christmas lights.” The image also highlights the dissonance between the seemingly endless demands and executive orders coming from the White House, and the spirit of care and generosity that traditionally accompany the holiday season."

Reading the article it sounds like a surprisingly lazy project too; they've seemingly taken this old audiobook, split it up into episodes and added some "host" segments from a Fox & Friends personality
The network seems to have taken the 15-year-old, 23-hour audiobook and retooled it into a multipart podcast series, with the new additions coming from Earhardt. In a note obtained by Rolling Stone, a producer associated with the podcast has asked at least one celebrity star to “not mention that this audio New Testament Bible was produced years ago, we’d like it to feel like something that was produced more recently.”

Jonathan Kay's infamous dog shampoo tweet:

"so it turns out I've been using dog shampoo on my hair for the last few months," Kay tweeted along with a photo of a bottle of what is very clearly Arm & Hammer dog shampoo, including a prominent photo of a dog on the bottle.

"(I only discovered it when I ran out and needed to get more.) this is partly my own fault but it doesnt help that @ArmandHammer has the word 'pets' in like 4-pt typeface. I'm guessing this is common."
