Got to the final boss in Donkey Kong Country 2 for the first time tonight. This game is great and challenging but I still think I prefer the first one overall—a lot tighter concise experience that arcs in difficulty pretty well. 2 sometimes feels difficult in unnecessary, frustrating ways.

This is after a fairly recent re-evaluation on my part but I think Conker’s Bad Fur Day is one of the greatest games ever made It is objectively one of the few 10/10 greats that holds up even now, even if the humor isn’t for you, this game pushed the N64 to its limits W/O the expansion pak
