It's been so long and I know I don't have announce this, but I find myself needing a little closure. I'm fairly certain my time drawing for OFMD is done. I truly had the best time drawing for this fandom and I want to thank anyone who liked my art at any point over the last 4 years.

Lord of the Rings fanfic I found through Yahoo Groups, around 13 or 14 years old. Everything back then was on individual websites, probably hosted through Angelfire or something. Finding anything at all that you liked felt like a victory. It was awesome.

Me? Suddenly obsessed with an online multiplayer game? Absolutely unheard of. Never happened before. And yet, Deadlock has me by the throat. All I want to do is run around as my little goth lady, push my little lanes, and throw my little skulls at people.

hi my friends! chapter 2 of "pirates in waiting and storms to be tamed", aka ed pov of sapphires, is now up on ao3. thank you so much once again to @tukinky.bsky.social for the beautiful (and very hot) art in this chapter!! hope you all enjoy 💕 archiveofourown.org/works/78611981

The title card for "pirates in waiting and storms to be tamed" by suchgreatheights. Graphic compilation created by jackuntiljune. A glowing lighthouse pierces the dark sky. Broad, messy brushstrokes cover the canvas, leaving drips of paint in their wake. The image is moody—broody, even—reminiscent of sapphires Ed's Blackbeard painting style. Fuchsia paint has been splattered over a corner of the canvas, a lighter, whimsical break from all the serious artist business.

crop of tuka's art from ch 2 of "pirates in waiting and storms to be tamed". visible in the crop is ed lying back with his eyes closed, clearly shirtless, though the crop cuts off high up on his chest. his brow is furrowed and he's sucking on one of his fingers.

I may not be able to draw but I am doing my first oil painting (non fandom) in about 15 years. It's ugly but it exists. I'm also fully back into my Japanese study hyperfixation from a few years ago. Surprisingly I remember way more than I thought I did, which feels awesome. 🔥

I miss drawing Ed and Stede, but nothing I do will let me draw them. I've regained so much of myself in the last six months, but the thing that hasn't come back is enjoying art. I'm trying to be patient, but I think I need to free myself from the expectation of making any fandom art for a while.
