there’s so much to unpack here.

Stacks of Dude Wipes. The packaging is black on the left and orange on the right. The left has a white toilet with a pumpkin sitting on it with the :o expression on its face. Lucky for us, it says “plant sourced fibers” on the packaging.

The scent…flavor…? is “DUMPKIN SPICE” and no, that is not a typo.

Some packets have a sticker that says “XL WIPES 99% WATER AND PLANT BASED INGREDIENTS” others claim these are flushable wipes.

I pulled release pricing. Most people who wanted the console, have the console or got it a while ago. Next gen is likely coming in 2028. I'm not saying that people should go out and buy a console for 1 game. Just that the game (if possible) should be available to the most players.

No, the ps5 (499.99) and series x ($499.99-299.99) launched in 2020, the switch (449.99) in 2025. there exists a whole ecosystem of gamers that by that logic don't deserve to play a game because they didn't invest in the pc ecosystem. The buy in for PC has been 900-1000 if you go prebuilt.

not saying that. saying we have the knowledge to break in the pc space and not everyone has that. deals and workarounds exist that we know of. to ask. I also live paycheck to paycheck and I can tell you that the people I exist around view a gaming pc as a foreign concept, but understand a console

I do think we as creators are privileged to that point. But also it sucks to have a viewer who has a current console and can't afford to immediately buy a pc get excited about a game, want to play it, and then realize they can't without a near $1000 investment when they have current hardware.

Long term is the keyword. In an ideal world yea maybe. But you're asking every person that wants to game to hold off in order to buy/ learn to maintain/ learn to build a PC, which gatekeeps it at that point. A lot of communities (especially lower income) can't and shouldn't have to do that.

I mean even xbox or switch, anything is better than just sticking with still the objectively unaffordable platform. So many indie devs (even single person up and coming ones) have cross platformed at this point that I'm a little wary of that reason.
