Wanted to sleep in as its the weekend. Made it about 30 minutes extra before my dog wakes up and gets in my face with that "you owe me food" look.

For some reason I have been wanting to try iOS. Last Apple phone like product I had was an iPod. I have been a fairly hardcore Android user for about 16 years now. Been having to help people with them at work while not knowing much. Maybe I can call it an investment.

This interview covers a lot of the reasoning behind Bazzite's design, the history behind it and why we believe it's the model for the future of the Linux desktop. Michael also does a lot of good Linux content outside of this, so check him out if that's your jam 💜

It's my favorite day! It's the 38th anniversary of the Max Headroom signal broadcast intrusion! 1st incident lasted 25s during the 9PM news on WGN-TV in Chicago; The 2nd, 2hrs later, lasted ~90s on PBS affiliate WTTW during Dr. Who. You can watch it here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqge...

Tried converting an older laptop over to #Kazeta this evening. Looked promising but wouldn't boot without shutting off almost immediately. Dunno if it doesn't meet the specs or what? It is running a nvidia 1070 which is technically older than the 1650 I think.

Had a brain broke moment earlier. Was feeling out a form and wrote the date as September 26th 2021. I need a nap.

#linuxgaming we need like a tux royal or something. Every battle royal I find and start to like bans me for using Linux. The latest ban came from #farlight84 I finished the tutorial and the not match and prior to playing with people I somehow got banned.

WTH happened to modern #webdev I'm trying to interface with a simple server running locally but the library requires me to get node and NPM + some random extention on VSCode to allow me to run a live server then even with a simple test it still bugs out. Hopefully I am just overcomplicating.

Saw that #Synology will be locking future models to their in house house drives... Kinda bs in my opinion. Looks like I will be moving to other more open solutions going forward.

I have been spending this afternoon checking in on friends I haven't contacted in years. I know things have been chaotic over the past bit but I want to know they are OK or if I can help. If you haven't hit up someone you consider a #friend in a bit let them know you have thought about them.

Testing the Steam Recording feature on my #Linux rig. It recorded at native resolution and looked great. It didn't capture my mangohud so the FPS marker disappeared along with GPU utilization. Otherwise it seems pretty solid. I will try to get my mic set back up soon. youtu.be/hgiuEI50VhI

Been playing through #LikeADragon Infinite Wealth on my Linux system. Been super smooth. Some of the screenshots you can grab from this game are incredible.

from like a dragon infinite wealth a close up picture of the leader of the palikana religious group with sweat glistening on their cheeks and a fire burning behind them giving the character a holy glow

from like a dragon infinite wealth a shady character named Yamai standing in a burning forest with two of his henchmen standing in the background

from like a dragon infinite wealth Yamai is swinging a crowbar behind his head hitting Ichiban in the arm.

More and more fake accounts coming along spoofing game stores, publishers and so on. I am *begging* you all to use domain verification. It takes all of 2 minutes to do. Companies especially should be doing this. bsky.social/about/blog/4...

I'm to a point where I am really not enjoying my current #Android phone. I may end up upgrading soon. That #OnePlus13 is looking hella nice. I had a OnePlus in the past and it was great until the charging port disconnected from the lower board. Been on Pixel and Samsung since. Is the jump worth?
