Today's date in Quenya, the high elven language of J R R Tolkien, that says Narquelië enquë, enquë yuquain yuquain, Aldúya. It means "October six, twenty twenty six, Tuesday" It is written in both the Roman alphabet and in the tengwar, the Elvish script.

The vowels as used in the classical mode of the tengwar. There are five lines of text, each line dedicated to a single vowel. The lines show A, E, I, O, and U in that order. The first half of the line shows the way to write the short form of the vowel, with the appropriate tehta mark above the short carrier, while the second half of the line shows the long form of the vowel with the tehta over the long carrier.
