Found some old negatives in a box of camera stuff I was given. Check these airplanes out. #believeinfilm

I had to go look this one up to confirm and...yes it's real I didn't even realise there still were Romanovs, let alone one willing to be handcuffed to (checks notes) DJ Fat Tony for a TV show Katie Price and Suella Braverman is also extremely WTF

In doing this I have almost certainly ensured that those guys in China do *not* in fact succeed in bringing back Polaroid pack film. Sorry about that folks, my bad 😬

I have invested the princely sum of £23.61 while they're still cheap, just in case those guys in China really do succeed in bringing back Polaroid pack film 🤞 It's in really good condition too, looks barely used. Not many genuine Hasselblad accessories you'll see for that price!
Close up photograph of the end of a Polaroid film holder for a Hasselblad camera. It is a sturdy looking rectangle of black plastic, not much to see really!

It looks in good condition, and has a badge that reads "100; HASSELBLAD; SWEDEN" and the brand "POLAROID" written below.

Every time someone links to this film, I have to repost it. It's one of the most significant bits of British 20th century art. Everything about it is incredible. Groundbreaking music production by Daphne Oram. Amazing camera work by Wolfgang Suschitzky (who later filmed Get Carter).-

That's helpful, thanks! Yes I think it's Type 100 that is key.

I think the one I sent Kym was for August's swap and she got me in September so it wasn't an exact match but mine took so long in transit that they crossed over!

Yeah I've seen the NONS one and it's definitely on my wish list for later! For things like emulsion lifts though it needs to be Polaroid and I believe there are lots of old Hasselblad Polaroid backs out there that are extremely cheap for now because the film isn't (currently) available.

So this makes me think it's time to pick up a Hasselblad Polaroid back while they're still cheap, just in case 🤞 ...anything I should know about which one to look for? I don't really know my way around Polaroid peel apart film so I want to make sure I get one which will be compatible

Ahh brilliant look who my September postcard came from! They must have crossed over as they travelled the world 😊 Thank you Kim, this was a cheering little package to get in the post this morning ❤️ #PostcardsFromAfar
Postcard with an envelope, a note and a sticker, all laid out on a desk.

The postcard is a black and white photograph of a buggy on a stormy beach, with a surfboard attached to the roof.

Underneath is a handwritten note on lined paper, the start of which reads "G'Day Morag, A short note from Perth, Western Australia."

The stamp on the envelope has a photograph of a small black and white bird and reads "POSTAGE PAID AUSTRALIA"

The sticker is a drawing of an old Polaroid camera

Oh yay it got there in the end! My husband sent me this picture when he posted it. It’s only a tiny little duck, must have taken it a long time to fly all the way to Australia 🐥
Photo of the same white and purple postcard, being posted into the slot of a classic British red post box. Balanced just above the slot is a tiny yellow rubber duck.

My immediate thought - these things become immediately inaccessible to so many people (like me!) who can’t queue for indeterminate lengths of time I literally called Dishoom yesterday to make sure we can get a late dinner tonight without worrying about the queue www.theguardian.com/food/2026/se...
Screenshot of a paragraph of text from the linked article. The highlighted portion reads: "We spend so much time thinking about how best to reduce the bottlenecks and make it more efficient. And even though most people are happy to be social in the queue and chat, we hate that it makes the bakery less accessible to people who can't physically stand for 40 minutes. When we had the heatwaves this summer, we would get people fainting, which wasn't good."

We saw it in the Albert Hall last year and they had the pipe organ going as well as the choir - it was an out of body experience I think it might have been the first time they played Ára Bátur, really glad they left it in the setlist!

We were both very taken with the big tattooed guy at the back who was alternating between the timpani and a set of what appeared to be tiny brightly coloured tinkly bell type things. He was having so much fun he even turned the pages with a flourish.

My husband has been twice (apparently I require adult supervision) but he says next time I’m on my own 😆 Might try and talk Dad into it, he’s a radio 3 guy but he’s open to weird music as long as there’s an orchestra and they might win him over with the percussion shenanigans in Sé lest

Sigur Ròs with an orchestra in Glasgow last night 🥹✨✨ Yes this is the same gig we saw in London. Yes I went again and I REGRET NOTHING. Would happily watch this every 6 months or so until the heat death of the universe Excuse the potato quality photo, I only had my phone with me this time.
Very low res colour photograph taken at a concert, from an aisle seat in an upper level, with a good clear view of the stage.

On stage is an orchestra, with a small choir off to one side, all dressed in black. They are difficult to pick out, but the three members of the band Sigur Ròs can be seen in amongst the orchestra, just in front of the conductor. Jonsi is standing in the centre, singing into a microphone.

The stage is dramatically and brightly lit, with smoke effects. The orchestra are mostly lit by white lights, while there is purple behind the choir. Blue lighting can be seen on the stairs in front of me. The rest of the room is in deep black darkness.

I have recently learned to inject myself with vitamin B12. It's not as bad as you expect IME! The hardest part turned out to be drawing it up into the syringe so if your syringes happen to be preloaded you're golden.
