I went to see about adding some chicks to my flock today. I was told they sold out off all 400 chicks that arrived yesterday. It makes me worry for the number of people not ready for the work of keeping chickens for the dream of “cheap” eggs. I worry about all the chickens who will be mistreated.

Ours are so sassy! They knock on my windows if we haven’t put the bird feeders out when they want them. Mind we have bears so they must wait until November, but it’s cute and I love them. I usually throw handfuls of seeds in the yard when they knock.
