Was never a cool kid in school. I was an outcast, frankly—couldn’t do math or sports, couldn’t afford the hot clothes. But seeing the pile of skulls I’ve managed to accumulate does a lot to make up for that. Thanks so much for letting me hang with the cool kids, @havehashad.com 😊 🥰

47 years old today. Mother of one adult and two soon-to-be adults. I’ve written and published some things I’m proud of. I’ve held onto my job in a time of extreme duress. I’ve found a partner who loves me the way I always deserved. So many reasons for gratitude.

My stepmom sent me this letter I wrote at 13. I showed it to my boyfriend, who said, “You’re completely crazy. You haven’t changed a bit.” “Really?” I said. “Why do you think I fell in love with you?” he said, reinforcing my belief that I’m (finally) with the right person 😊 😂
