A couple weeks ago I heard a joyful shriek from across the street. My neighbor kids, who I planted milkweed for, found 2 monarch caterpillars by their stoop. This week, those monarchs hatched. Our block is fully concrete, .3 miles to the closest green space. But we’re supporting the life cycle 🥰

Humaning.

I wrote this quickly at a bus stop and didn't realize it would go viral, or else I would have worded it better. But the point is that the media is too credulous about AI killing everyone in 10 years (how?) when climate change is killing people now and will only get worse (we know exactly how).

Hummingbirds.

I love how kids tell a joke, my 6 year old told me a knock knock joke: "knock knock" "who's there?" "Lettuce" "lettuce who?" "It's cold outside!" He missed the "lettuce in" part which honestly made it funnier for me

I've gotten back into buying dvds and Blu-rays of movies I like. I get tired of bouncing around with streaming services, and also enjoy being able to lend things to friends. I also really prefer physical copies of video games over digital. This seems so slimy that they can revoke access to purchases
