A six panel comic titled “Give Me a Break!!”. Panel one shows Icky, an anthropomorphic squirrel character with a bowler hat and waders on, trudges through a lovely field angrily. Panel two shows Icky spotting a $20 bill lying on the ground. Panel three has icky contemplating about picking up the $20 bill, saying “$20? Could it be? Ah mean… ‘at’s good whisky money…”
Panel four has him bending over to pick it up, smugly smiling to himself and saying “Huh huh…well, finduhs keepuhs…huh huh huh~”
Panel five is you hear a snap offscreen and then a large crack behind him. He looks shocked.
6th panel shows Nergal, a prehistoric god of bad luck wearing a Dino skull hat, hiding in a bush in the foreground, with his hand in a post snapping position. He has a wide toothy grin on his face and his eyes are completely white. In the background you see that Icky was on the edge of a cliff that has no broken off, causing him to fall off the cliff to his doom.

A four panel comic where Icky wakes up in a panic. We zoom out from his horrified face to reveal that he’s in a coffin. Cut to a grave that says “until next time” with Nergal cheerfully conducting the screams rising from under the ground with his finger.

Icky is walking through the woods holding a shotgun and smoking a cigarette, bags slung over his shoulders. He comes across a strange, flat looking wooden boat with an oar and a bag by it stuck up on the riverbank. He pokes the bag with his gun before lifting it up with the barrel, grimacing in disgust. “Eughh…?” He says

Deep cleaned my room the other day. Been working on the comic quietly. I’m training myself to become more used to working in solitude like this. There’s some definite melancholy but it will pass, as it always does. Im doing okay overall. Maybe it’s just the cold weather.

I worked on my comic for four years before showing it to anyone except a single friend, who I know I tortured by finishing pages months and months apart. I was slow, the art was janky, and I didn't want to subject anyone to it until there was enough story to chew on. Give yourself time. It's okay.

I need to find the drive to work on my passion project again…I fear my burnout may have reached its peak & it’s going to take me more time than I’d like to recover. I’m still passionate about it, but I can’t seem to convert that passion into motivation & drive to draw lately. This is NOT normal 😭

I really cannot keep up with internet cultures and trends. It moves too fast for me. When I get back I wanna work on spending more time actually creating than wasting all my time on the futile effort of being noticed. Feeling a sense of crushing melancholy whenever I try to find “success” online.

Due to working two jobs & planning a wedding atm, I haven’t been able to work much on Fossilized despite wanting to so so very badly. But at least I can make quick scribbles in the rare windows of time I get. The trio all have their own feelings about this lack of activity #doodle #fossilizedtales

Nergal is sobbing and fighting against chains while screaming “DRAW ME DRAW ME DRAW ME! LET ME OUUUUT!”
And Dumuzi is under him hanging by her roots as she does, looking exhausted and murmuring “Take your time. I literally do not care.”
