I love how in 70/early 80s horror when they're like, "The devil waited for a cynical time, when society would fall apart and morals fall by the wayside." And I'm like, yeah (takes a drink), it's never getting worse for society than the 70s.

Got bit by the Well Dweller bug after playing the demo. Incredible game so far. It's like Hollow Knight but funnier and not as punishing on death. Also reading Necroscope 2, which is still pretty fun.

When I was young, I was far more up to date with charting music. In theory, hit singles are demos. At some point, if you like music, you expand into what you like and leave the top-40 cocoon behind to enter a larger world not defined by numbers of fans but more of what you like.

I'm not the audience for the Smith hearing, but the main political issue here is that Republicans want the world to know that Smith subpoenaed congressional phone records as he investigated Jan. 6 etc, and nobody outside the Senate can explain to you why that's bad.

I've been playing Dune Awakening single-player and it rules. The first several hours are very tough. It feels like the Dark Souls of survival crafting games and the spiritual opposite of a cozy game. Instead of pulling up turnips, you're harvesting blood from enemies and converting it to water.

Started reading Necroscope by Brian Lumley, and I'm loving it. Good character work in that one. I also started The Scarlet Gospels by Clive Barker, which wastes no time getting nasty and I just started. Palworld is getting tough as I try to build a team for one of the last bosses.

I have no expertise on trans people, but if a democratic candidate started fear mongering or equivocating on immigrants, not only would I stay home, my mom would remember their exact words for about a decade. If somebody told me to be an adult and suck it up, I would know they're racist.

I remember. He was directly asked about it in a debate and he said it was "Locker. Room. Talk." and the press dropped it as an issue. They decided he won the point and addressed the issue. Dude basically said 'fuck you' and somehow that settled it. 🤦
