MommySJ @mommysj.bsky.social · 14hWhich, to be honest, feels like a betrayal of my genuine self. I've been teaching my kid that all body types are beautiful. And I was almost to a place where I accepted and loved myself at the size I am. Now? I don't hate my fatness, but I feel so much pressure to "fit" in. I'm 40. This sucks. 000
MommySJ @mommysj.bsky.social · 15hMy family, after almost 2 decades, had finally quit commenting on my body and weight. With the rise in GLP-1s for weight loss, the commenting has begun again. I am so sick of it, I scheduled an appt with my doc to talk about the meds. I just want to be skinnier so my family stops. 110
MommySJ @mommysj.bsky.social · 15h10 went to a friend's for a sleepover yesterday. I had the most relaxing afternoon I've experienced in a long while. I love my kiddo and I'm excited to hear about their adventures when they get home today. I also don't want to be done relaxing yet. I know I'm not a bad mom, just a very tired one. 030

MommySJ @mommysj.bsky.social · 09/10/2026...aaaaand I need new rear brakes and rotors. I had the front ones replaced 18 months ago. Ugh. Okay. Still less expensive than a whole new vehicle. Glad I can get this fixed before winter hits. I'll figure out the money piece later. 120

Now multiply that across hundreds of journals, and remember that it will be another 5% compounded next year. And don't get us started on video licensing. Or the cost of ebooks. 021

MommySJ @mommysj.bsky.social · 01/10/2026I am working from home today. So far I have responded to 15 emails, gotten my kid to school, trimmed the front bushes, answered 4 reference questions, and now I'm going to work on converting files to PDF/A while I clean my home office area.
