Trying to decide which outfit to wear to pirate weekend at the Ren Faire this year and I showed one of these photos to an online friend who only ever sees me on camera (not IRL.) Any guesses which one I chose in the end?

This matches what I've learned from Secrets of Story by Matt Bird too. You may have to cut out a ton of great material because it doesn't relate to the character's problem and follow the but/then sequence. And you *will* cut it out if you want your story to be popular!

Friendships are thicker than blood in my WIP. In the past, the MC couldn't have friendships that lasted more than a few months. So she's used to friendships that aren't very deep. That'll change & she'll hold onto friendships like they're more important than her own life. #FantasyIndiesJuly

AI is like taboo magic. Sure, anyone can succumb to it and they might feel really powerful for a while. But they're never going to be the hero of the story while using it. Eventually they'll need a villain's ending or redemption arc while the world rights itself.

Without 3 star ratings, it's hard to communicate how AMAZING the 5 star books are. 3 stars to me means the story was good and writing was good enough. 4.5 stars means I'm proud to have it on my bookshelf and will probably read it again. 5 stars are rare masterpieces.

Oooh, just found this & LOVE these questions! 😍 23 ~ book 1 mostly takes place in a port city, but most of book 2 is outdoors with some forests, & most of book 3 is in a jungle. My WIP MC feels most alive and is most in touch with her unique skills when she's in the forest! #JulyWorldbuilders

They LOVE her of course! (Mostly...) 😉 Like life, my WIP focuses on the people she develops deep friendships *and more* with. Sure, she's got bullies, enemies, & antagonists. They all share the spotlight in the story, but most don't become side characters. #FantasyIndiesJuly
