I tend to stick to one WIP at a time, and focus all my energy on that. As soon as the edits are underway and the last few changes are being made, then I'll get plotting my next work. I do sometimes like to try and give myself a break between projects😅🖤 #fantasyindiesjanuary

I do love this time of year! Lights flickering, the dark and cold days and nights, the stories and magic...I love it all! It really is a busy time, so I haven't been on SM much recently, and I do tend to shut down the writing desk and take a step back to enjoy time with family and friends. 🖤🎄🖤

The weather is turning darker and colder and it's the perfect time for fairytales... The woods are dark and wicked, and perhaps some things would be better off staying lost… A sensual, dark faerie tale, full of delicious romance and delightful gothic imagery 🖤 #darkromance

LydiaVRussell @lvrussell.bsky.social · 25/11/2024

How have my characters changed? Well, in the very first draft of The Bone Drenched Woods (when it was a cute cosy folk horror) Hyacinth was a rather sweet and naive young woman and now she is weary, and stubborn and filled with rage and sorrow.🖤💀🖤💀 #fantasyindiesnovember

WIP subgenres...oooh this is a tricky one. The Bone Drenched Woods is gothic folk horror, beneath that...perhaps religious fiction...a dash of dark fantasy horror. Eldritch horror. It's definitely not a romance! 🤣 #fantasyindiesnovember @chesneyinfalt.bsky.social @fantasyindies.bsky.social
