Soon we will be offered “AI agents”, the trade will be we give them access to everything about us (perhaps ‘anonymised’; this will be irrelevant) and they cut through the noise in a fundamentally broken internet. Their recommendations will be real estate just like google search; they will feel like a friend AND mediate connections to our actual friends; they will secretly act for the enemy

The next step, the tech giants hope, will be to have us put on goggles and mediate all of our reality, collect every second of our lives. An AI trained on us, choosing what we see. If, when you look at a restaurant in real life, reviews pop up, there will be no avoiding being influenced by that.

Guys we're hitting (relatively) mainstream recognition of the political economy of social media!! I can feel the weight of all these years as a Cassandra finally lifting. I was telling people Facebook and Twitter were terrifying enclosures of public space in the 00s!

They have been getting a lot of oil through - otherwise it would be $150+ - but at vast expense. They have navy personnel on tankers, 3 aircraft carriers, states subbing in for insurance companies etc As of this past week Iran is hitting a lot more boats, too.

Oh yeah the scratching isn't there! I hadn't really registered. Must be the version from the 25th anniversary remaster. Best thing about that is it moves Dem Phonies to track 11 where it fits much better. I didn't realise the overhaul was so big though, thought it was just EQ etc.

No one seems to care, but these were the UK's submissions about hospital use in I v UK in *2002*. I get that the UKSC is big on reading ECtHR jurisprudence as narrowly as possible, but it really does strain credulity to think there is no Art 8 violation .
