Games media is not only unhealthy because there aren't jobs. For years, games media (journalism in general, really) has run on a deeply unhealthy system that incentivized the worst kind of writing and devalued the labor of writers and other creators.

That team won 97 games. They were far and away a better team than the Dodgers that completely embarrassed them. James Loney and a completely diminished Manny Ramirez burned Wrigley to the ground. Unsure I've ever been angrier about baseball.

Chalk this up to morning after cope or whatever but having seen the Cubs simply not show up against an obviously inferior NL West opponent in the postseason so maybe times watching them get steamrolled by an obviously better one is a nice change of pace.

33 years ago today, the Stranger stepped onto the dock of Myst Island for the first time. We can still hear the water splashing against the pilings.
