Both approaches have pros and cons. Not sure I have a preference, personally, though there's much to be said for minimal finishing with the work-as-you-go method!

Sunday began with a mooch around a makers' market in northern Luxembourg. Got home an hour ago with two handmade ceramic cups. Now I'm back in my pyjamas, with knitting and movies. Bon dimanche, mes petits moutons.

Dinner tonight is ierzebulli (Luxembourg pea soup) that I made for the first time ever yesterday, and roast Hokkaido squash. Autumn and winter will be full of this kind of meal. I love cooking so much.

Thank you! I feel like we have more control over the whole process when doing it by hand. Sewing, knitting... all handicrafts call for us to slow down, don't they? (Dreaming of hand piecing my blocks and quilting Baptist fan shapes while I finish knitting a cardi 🤣)

I have the wool fabric. I even have a ridiculous rainbow silk for the lining. Definitely not paying 150 euros for polyester blends. Anyway, heading home to knit, plan, and bother the kittens again.

Valentina, by Claudia Quintilla. A word of warning: the pattern is expensive and poorly written. Took the designer 18 months to fix it, and even that's up for debate. My copy is a maze of notes and swearing. And yet the finished item is glorious.
