I love The Raincoats. I remember buying the reissue of the first album with Kurt Cobain's sleeve notes and listening to it all day. When my dad got home from work he asked what I thought about the news, and that's how I found out Kurt had died.

I will bang on about how amazing Boty was at any opportunity. I went to a retrospective of her work at Wolverhampton Art Gallery knowing nothing about her, and came out a devotee.

I've just seen I'm part of a starter pack for Lichfield Blue sky users, so hello to anyone who did the Lichfield 10k last weekend! Anyone doing the Chasewater one next month?

A photograph of myself in Beacon Park, in running gear, having just run the 2026 Lichfield 10k. I'm showing the medal I won for finishing the race.

You’re Getting In My Hair, created c.1968 by Mavis Oultram, in the art therapy studio at Netherne Hospital, Surrey, where she was compelled to live. This is one of a small number of surviving works, which all feature the motif of eyes. No biographical information is currently known to us

Painting of snaking flowering brown tendrils of human hairs with blue human eyes stashed on the unfinished head of a figure with only the eyes and brows partially painted in, the rest of the face sketched out in pale pencil but almost invisible

Saw the first track on here is by John Carroll Kirby, so saved immediately; his production work on Eddie Chacon's "Pleasure Joy And Happiness" made it one of my favourite albums of recent years.

Just heard Jungle played on Radio 2. Weirdly obsessed with records that get played on Radio 1, Radio 2 and 6 Music as its so rare for a record to be played by all three.

I love The New Eves, and this solo track from one of its members is great. But if someone had said this was an outtake from Horses, I wouldn't have questioned it. Not necessarily a bad thing!

Seeing a lot about Beck, who I was obsessed with for about five years after Loser came out. I think his stuff is a bit too tasteful these days, and miss the times he could just go off on a tangent like this: youtu.be/c93Yetmsn8k?...

First come across this band a few years ago via the song Antabus, which I recommend highly! Some of the best swearing ever in a pop song. Sounds exactly like one of the really good Lukas Moodysson films.

I went to the same high school as Mike Skinner. I didn't know him then, but met him once later as we both went out with the same girl from our school. She claimed Dry Your Eyes was written about her; no idea if that is true!
