Two people visiting Cincinnati from out of state went to the ED at Children’s Hospital and spent 4 hours there. They were sick with measles. Those who were exposed have been notified. This is been happening repeatedly throughout the U.S. And is why vaccine choices affect everyone.

The new CDC Director is indeed the one who ordered the count of measles deaths to be changed from 2 to 0. “The highly unusual decision departs from the agency’s practice of including such data from state health departments, which historically make the determinations”.

Why should you care if childhood vaccination rates are dropping in your community? 1. All kids deserve to be protected from vaccine-preventable disease. 2. There are people who can’t be vaccinated, such as babies who are too young. If everyone around them is vaccinated, they’re protected.
