no confidence that members would back him if he waited. If the PM is the only other candidate on the ballot paper he would have my vote and I hope other loyal party members. I want a proper transition not a rushed contest driven by personal ambition.

Continued….. A vote on keeping healthcare in the US without linking to a shutdown is will be important. A denial of a vote will be just as important. Republicans have a choice give a vote or deny a vote this year. Or give American voters a choice in the mid terms to reverse the cuts!

I watch with it interest the decision to end the shutdown in the USA. A swallow doesnt make a summer. so a victory in New York New Jersey and Virginia doesnt make a summer. In the UK voters are anti governing party as it is safe to do so but will they vote the same a general election? Continued..

I do despair sometimes about the complaints of the influence of bond markets. If govts dont want a wide tax base and people want public service then someone has to pay. He who pays the piper then calls the turn. The answer is self sustaining economies tax revenue meets outgoings. Just like at home

I'm hearing a lot of people on here slamming the UAW's Shawn Fain for supporting tariffs. It's time for a quick lesson on what unions do and do not do. I do not agree with him, but unions DO NOT EXIST TO BE YOUR ALLY IN WHATEVER THE ISSUE OF THE DAY IS Unions serve their members.

There is an uncomfortable truth behind Pres. Trumps support. Globalisation has left many western economy workers behind. He has made a mistake by going for the nuclear option. Bidenomics was slow and steady but would have rebalanced economy’s not destroy them. Trouble was US voters wont wait!
