Langstone Harbour in Portsmouth is a beautiful and peaceful stretch of water, home to an extensive range of marine life. Waterbirds love its tidal mudflats, saltmarsh, seagrass meadows and shingle. You can walk all the way round it and see its excellent bird sanctuaries. Remember it this way.

NEW BLOG POST! We introduce the new Railway Work, Life & Death project collaboration with the Llangollen Railway - sharing past staff stories of the Railway in pre-preservation days! #Wales #RailwayHistory #Heritage www.railwayaccidents.port.ac.uk/sharing-staf... Images courtesy Peter Dickinson
Black and white photograph, showing a railway passenger station on a curve, with two tracks between two platforms, and small waiting rooms on each. A passenger train faces away from the photographer, with people moving on the wet platform. A gang of track workers is at work on the other line. To the side of the image the river Dee rushes past; in the distance a wooded hillside rises high above the scene. One side of a DL-size leaflet, showing the front and rear covers, and first staff story. The front cover includes the logos of the Llangollen and Corwen Railway, University of Portsmouth, Modern Records Centre and National Railway Museum, with the title 'Staff and work on the Llangollen and Corwen Railway before 1939', and a photograph of Llangollen station c.1900.
A wooden Great Western Railway style advertising display board, painted black with a white rim and letter 'GWR' to the top. It holds a number of leaflet containers, including one which has the project leaflet in it.
