I think there is an infinitesimal, minuscule chance Marsha gets Hillary’ed in the TN governors race. Enough republicans think she’s a snake to stay home, assuming that her win is an inevitability. They’re probably right, BUT you don’t see this kind of defection unless that attitude already exists.

Ok, so even if 24k gold leaf costs $100/square foot (which it doesn’t, usually $50-70 based on some quick searches, down to just a few bucks if you use non-24k), that’s enough leaf to cover an entire football field with several thousand square ft to spare.

Meanwhile, in the South, it has been 90°+ daily for nearly 2 months, with the humidity of a small bathroom after a hot shower. I will be experiencing outdoor temperatures below 60° for the first time in like 5 months this week and am ecstatic.

One of the more interesting side-notes of the evening was that two Democrats were elected in Williamson County. That's home to U.S. Sen. Marsha Blackburn, Gov. Bill Lee and Senate Majority LeaderJack Johnson among others. If memory serves, the last time a Democrat was elected was in 2000.

The one other car purchase I’ve been an adult for: My mom and I bought one while I was in college. About a week after we closed, they called asking for a 2nd check b/c they’d “mistakenly” shredded the first one. My wonderful mother told them Fat Chance & Figure It Out. They did not call back.

I have independently purchased exactly One (1) vehicle as an adult and it was through CarMax b/c I found exactly what I wanted online, shipped it to my local location, & I walked in and bought it. Did I pay a bit more than I could have for a used car? Yes. But no “dealership” was involved. Worth it.
