We doin dialect maps today? Bet. Mine is very much on the money. It appears I may be incomprehensible to new Englanders.

It was even Gemini specifically. LMAO
According to authorities with Siskiyou County and the U.S. Forest Service, the novice climbers, from Roseville, said they'd entrusted Google's Al tool, Gemini, to help them craft key logistics of their trip - from the best route up the mountain to the types of food they should pack and how much water they should carry with them. The county Sheriff's Office called relying on artificial intelligence tools "a critical misstep."

Happy Friday
Yazoo Brewing Company (Nashville TN) branded beer glass full of golden lager next to a 70s styled “retro” Narragansett Lager can. The can has a gold sailing ship, prominent red diagonal stripe, and gold checkered sides Back of the beer can:

Hi- Neighbor!
You're lucky enough to be holding a genuine, collectible, limited edition retro 'Gansett Lager can.
The graphics on this can are the ones we used throughout the 1970s. And yes, this is the can that the Captain crushed in the famous movie about the big ass shark. The beer inside is our award-winning lager.
So drink up and enjoy!

Off the lathe, a gift for some neighbors. They lost a beautiful plum tree during the ice storms in January. I was able to get a piece with minimal cracking and turn a small change dish from it. Tung oil finish. Hope they enjoy the keepsake.

James McMurtry had this shit nailed in 2005. Time is a circle.
Lyrics to “We Can’t Make It Here” my James McMurtry.

Will work for food, will die for oil
Will kill for power, and to us the spoils
The billionaires get to pay less tax
The working poor get to fall through the cracks

So let 'em eat jellybeans let 'em eat cake
Let 'em eat shit, whatever it takes
They can join the Air Force or join the Corps
If they can't make it here anymore

Scipio Aemilianus this man is not.
Polybius relates a well-known anecdote of Scipio's reflections on the mutability of human affairs following the sack of Carthage:

Scipio, when he looked upon the city as it was utterly perishing and in the last throes of its complete destruction, is said to have shed tears and wept openly for his enemies. After being wrapped in thought for long, and realizing that all cities, nations, and authorities must, like men, meet their doom; that this happened to Ilium, once a prosperous city, to the empires of Assyria, Media, and Persia, the greatest of their time, and to Macedonia itself, the brilliance of which was so recent, either deliberately or the verses escaping him, he said:A day will come when sacred
Troy shall perish,
And Priam and his people shall be slain.
And when Polybius speaking with freedom to him, for he was his teacher, asked him what he meant by the words, they say that without any attempt at concealment he named his own country, for which he feared when he reflected on the fate of all things human. Polybius actually heard him and recalls it in his history.

Can I use 2 stroke marine oil in saw gas?

• northman46 • 4y ago
No. The oil for water cooled engines like outboards is different from that for air cooled engines like chainsaws. Look at the bottles to see what standards they meet.

The reverse Kristofferson!
Wikipedia screenshot from the article on Kris Kristofferson:

Also in 1958, Kristofferson was awarded a Rhodes Scholarship to the University of Oxford in Oxford, England, 101 studying at Merton College. [11] While performing his own songs there, Kristofferson signed with Larry Parnes, best known for his work with Tommy Steele.
Parnes was working to sell Kristofferson as "a
Yank at Oxford" to the British public;
Kristofferson was willing to accept that promotional approach if it helped his singing career, which he hoped would enable him to progress toward his goal of becoming a novelist.
[12]Wikipedia screenshot from the article on Kris Kristofferson:

In 1961, he married his longtime girlfriend, Frances "Fran" Mavia Beer. [11] (17) Also in 1961, Kristofferson joined the United States Army and was commissioned as a second lieutenant. He
attended U.S. Army Ranger School and completed helicopter pilot training at Fort Rucker, Alabama. [181 He relocated Beer and their newborn daughter to West Germany, where he served as a member of the 8th Infantry Division.
[19] [4] During this period, Kristofferson was promoted to the rank of captain and resumed his music career, forming a band to play at service clubs. It was at this point that he met Marijohn Wilkin, the aunt of his platoon commander. [4] In 1965, after his tour in West Germany ended, Kristofferson was re-assigned to teach English literature at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York. [20] [21]

This game demonstrated the need for a TKO system for disqualification. The same player going down 5 times in the same game is ridiculous. If he's that hurt, he needs to sit in the name of player safety.

Todd Snider alway hit the mark on this. And when people get shot they show it on TV a lot Every night at six o'clock And you don't even have to be eighteen to see You don't even have to be in first grade
Lyrics of Ballad of the Kingsmen by the recently late Todd Snider.

[Verse 6]
You know, every ten years or so, our country and some other little country, we start firing all of our newest weapons at each other For some reason or another, right or wrong, like it or not
It happens
And when it happens people get shot
And when people get shot they show it on TV a lot
Every night at six o'clock
And you don't even have to be eighteen to see
You don't even have to be in first grade
First grade, where they teach the kid the pride They tell him he'll need to thrive
In a world where they say that only the strong will survive
