Maybe not. But mostly because mass formation armies aren’t as effective. But if a huge war kicks off at a certain point it’s a more effective way to fight war at a certain point than 5 million dollar a pop cruise missiles. At the end of the day in an all out existential war: lives are cheap.

Right but it is weird for to respond “Washington” when someone asks where you’re from when you are visiting Poland or whatever. Say America and then specify if asked. Or say a region of you really want: “Northwestern USA.”

It makes Washingtonians a bit insane tbqh. I would hate to see DC made a state because we couldn’t even specify Washington State at that point. If they ever get statehood then Washington should get to rename itself. I like Tahoma or Columbia in that case. Columbia was our original name iirc.

I saw something in xitter that Americans traveling overseas will often name their state when asked where they are from. I think this is an issue Washingtonians probably don’t struggle with. We can’t even tell other Americans that we are from Washington without them assuming we mean DC.

I think that’s fair. Honestly if my wife and kids didn’t like the radio station we usually listen to I’d mostly stream 90s and 00s alt rock, punk and emo music. That and an eclectic mix of Swedish and German pop music.

The song doesn’t deserve to be where it’s at in the charts for as long as it has been. It’s not bad but it’s not that good. We have some top 40 stations here that are actually “90s, 00s and today” so those stations are good for listening to stuff I like and listening to new stuff

That’s how religious schools work in some other English speaking countries. We send some of our kids to parochial school but in our state vouchers are unconstitutional so we know it’s a choice to opt out and don’t expect state support for the school we chose.

I really don’t like voucher systems for this reason. Our taxes fund the education system. If you opt out of the system then you shouldn’t expect to get money from that system. If you want to have a religious school that gets tax money then we’d have to find a way to put that school under state rules
