absent souls by mistyletter

Summary:

Love meant devotion.
Devotion meant sacrifice.
That's how pack alpha
Namjoon ends up as a tribute at the annual hunger games.
Jungkook is just unlucky.
(or: the one where pack alpha Namjoon finds lonely beta Jungkook amongst a million lost souls and lost lifes)

Personal rambles// I usually never share personal stuff ever bc I’m scared of the internet, but this time around I have to say one thing. Life really shouldn’t pass by unhappily. It can’t pass by like this. I’ve decided to leave and I know it’s good for me, even if I feel lacking now. It’s okay.

fic title: feel your thumbs press into my skin again (welcome home)
summary: There’s a lingering awkwardness in their words and movements, because it’s been eight months since they saw each other and almost three since the last skype call, when Yoongi watched Taehyung drape himself around Jungkook’s back as they talked about Yoongi’s work, and Jungkook’s work, and Taehyung’s paintings and his garden, and then moved on to other kinds of chit-chat that wasn’t really meaningful in a way their conversations used to be.

There was minimal contact in the past three months, until Yoongi messaged Taehyung a month ago, asking if they had a spare corner for him to crash in for two nights, because he’s attending a conference nearby and hey, maybe he could finally come see the house at the same time?

-
or: Yoongi comes to visit Taehyung and Jungkook’s home, and maybe, against all odds, finds himself a home as well.

a collage of photos in which on the left, Kim Taehyung in a curly dark hair and reddish brown collared coat, in the middle Min Yoongi lying on the bed dark-haired and so pretty gazing in to the camera, on the right Jeon Jungkook in a black hoodie with the hood up looking toward the other two, his dark hair sweeping his temples... good lord they're gorgeous

rating: mature
Jeon Jungkook / Kim Taehyung / Min Yoongi

Since we’re missing Yoongi, I love how taciturn he is about showing his affection while simultaneously ready to pounce on any moment a member implies they’re anything less than deeply in love with him to get theatrically wounded, sadly musing that he always liked them and thought they were so close…
