I spent years building my YT algo brick by brick. It was the perfect mix of science, home improvement & craft projects I'll never get to, more science, baseball bangers, and whatever Charlie posts, only to completely fuck it all up by watching a few commentary videos. 😭

The type of yarn is a factor too (which you prob know since you crochet) but even the slightest alteration to how tightly you knit can affect the whole row. I tend to knit very tightly, so needle size must be exact. It's annoying. I'm trying to have a looser rhythm.

This is actually a completely normal thing to experience when you first learn to knit. I am the opposite. I knit but cannot crochet, and I just started trying to learn last week and the first thing I noticed is that crocheting is much more forgiving than knitting.

I mean it always matters, but it's an alt space like many others, so respect for others, for their boundaries, and full disclosure and informed consent is important because vulnerable people often don't ask for help

Also I feel like it's a space where creators and fans are more vulnerable to fraud or bad experiences, people use shame, threats to expose, etc who knows, so integrity matters I think.

Forgot to share advice from my allergist. When pollen is high, it easily attaches quickly into the fibers of your clothes, which transfers onto your furniture etc in your home. So always change your clothes immediately after being outside!

Totally agree with you! My step mom has this weird, real-looking sleeping cat in a cat bed and I have to cover it with a blanket because it creeps me out
