WIP: Ceramic holiday ornaments are glazed and ready for the kiln. Most are glazed with Amaco celadon glazes that won't run, but there's an experiment using a floating glaze, too.

Exactly this. And in fact, many models *have* been created this way, and decades of prior machine learning systems *were* created this way, consensually. These things are choices! You also can't know about anyone's diagnosis if they haven't been diagnosed. That is the difficulty with all statements about people who haven't been diagnosed... it's not that any diagnosis *wouldn't* apply, only that we can't know if it does or doesn't. Also: all humans are assholes.

What does this tell us about Troy? That he's inauthentic, ok with stealing, doesn't care about the environment or artists, that he can't even get a graphic designer to volunteer to do this for him, etc? This is a HUGE turnoff to a lot of liberal folks; STOP USING AI.

What do we have to do to convince purportedly-Dem PACS that AI shouldn't be used for campaign posters/flyers? I know more & more people who won't attend AI-flyer'd events... and use of AI for artwork goes against so many Dem values. (Check out their IG if you're skeptical about this pic.)

From what I'm reading it's a different strain than what the desert mice are carrying; it came from a biolab. The question I have is: even if she broke a vial, and even if she got sick, why is quarantine necessary? I've designed BSL-4 labs. There's many layers of safety; this shouldn't be possible.

Worthwhile thread. IMO, being an ally means taking this work OFF the plate of people at more risk, and it also means working where you can actually do some good, not beating your head against a brick wall. Give up on your MAGA uncle... it'll do more good if you get your friends off the bench.

There is another thread on here where an experienced attorney dug into her case and found her in the ICE system. IN THIS CASE, it was ICE, and yes, they are working "plain clothed" in various cities b/c they don't want attention.

I’m old enough to remember the Obama “stimulus” years. My top takeaway from then and now is that agencies need to be proactively getting as many projects “shovel-ready” as possible because the federal government can actually move very, very quickly when they want to. Fortune favors the prepared!

I have yet to try an AI that, if it were a human, I wouldn't fire for utter incompetence. We (humans) should be designing a machine that will reliably do tedious work. Mimicking humans ain't gonna get us there. Put *this* info into *this* format shouldn't be a challenge for a machine. And yet.

I thought (research, not legal) citations was going to be one way I could really put AI to use. I gave it the style I wanted it to use & all the info that needed to go into it. I just wanted it to format it properly... it couldn't do it. I tried correcting it; it apologized, made different mistakes.

No inherent North-seeking non-vestigial organs here, but excellent spatial skills, so yes to the map-reading. Pre-internet I kept a county map book in the car, and occasionally stopped at gas stations to consult the map rack when I was a different place and unsure of where I was headed.
