Kind of wondering how many near misses he's had, or crashes that have happened behind him, or on side roads as people think about pulling out of a junction, but then realise the car approaching is traveling much faster than expected.

It's like they've forgotten the rehabilitation part. It's only ever viewed through the lens of punishment and denial of freedom. How long was the sentence? Not whether it is likely to have worked to prevent repetition. There's little support available on release, for housing nor employment.

Used to work with a couple of lads who fitted raised access floors. Used to drive a big transit, but ended up carrying tonnes of spare tiles, pedestals, glue etc etc. Downsized to a small Fiesta van when they realised all they really needed to make money was their tools and their skills.
