One takeaway from today: Corey Batoon is the best defensive coordinator Mizzou has had in my lifetime and he legitimately might be the best one in the country right now. What he’s doing with basically an entirely new defensive unit this year is nothing short of extraordinary.

Idea: Maybe we shouldn't be treating 7th grade girls volleyball like the Thunderdome? It's not just bad for the parents (who hate each other due to playing time) and culture (watch ESPN for ten seconds), it burns out the kids and makes them worse adults AND athletes. Sports are supposed to be fun!
