Every time Apple updates operating system, I know I'm going to have to add 45 minutes to my workday turning off all the AI stuff I didn't ask for and do not want. (And there's still stuff you can't get rid of no matter how hard you try.) Why I can't just say, "I've already paid you. So no, please."

I write a lot (obviously) for a whole bunch of different publications and editors and the idea I can just write whatever I want however I want and they have no say over it is not only absurd it is in fact SOMETHING A WRITER SHOULDN'T WANT. I mean, it wasn't like this at Deadspin and I ran the place.

Hell, there was even Jim Dolan, apologizing to fans for it taking so long to finally win a championship (the closest he's ever come to acknowledging that he, individually, is the reason it has taken this long) and then screaming like the world's biggest goober, which he is. It is sort of perfect that when the Knicks at last won a title, they still had someone on the dais whom every New Yorker hates.
