ICE is claiming the officers who killed Lorenzo Araujo in Houston didn't have bodycams bc of "two Dem shutdowns." Put aside that the GOP has the majorities. And that the OBBB gave ICE a huge shutdown-proof slush fund. Here's an article from 5 months ago abt TRUMP explicitly slow walking bodycams:

Administration opposed efforts last year to expand use of cameras by immigration agents and cut oversight staffing

The Dallas Fed study didn't say that 'unauthorized immigration' caused housing prices to rise 30%, or rents to rise 20%. It said that 30% OF the rise in housing might be attributed to immigration. Same for 20% OF the rise in rents. The actual rise is small. 3/ www.dallasfed.org/~/media/docu...
Yet, for the average MSA, UIWF's contributions to growth in house prices and rents are

much larger. The weighted mean of UIWF as a share of initial employment during the boom period was 3.1%. Multiplying this increase by the baseline IV estimates yields an implied effect of UIWF on house prices of 6.6% and on rents of 4.3%. The total weighted-mean increases in house prices and rents over this period were 22.4% and 22.6%, respectively. Putting these together, for the average MSA, UIWF can explain approximately 30% of the total increase in house prices and 20% of the total increase in rents.

Fact check: Vought has, in fact, repeatedly expressed support for Christian nationalism by name. He has been very public about that. religionnews.com/2025/06/23/o...
Christian nationalism was incorporated into his rationale for decimating the federal government. In 2022, he tweeted, “… if the question is whether Christian Nationalism beats secular globalism & whether a woke/weaponized administrative state needs to be deconstructed … the answer is emphatically yes.”

He grew bolder about promoting Christian nationalism in public appearances and behind closed doors. In a hidden-camera footage recorded by the Centre for Climate Reporting, a British nonprofit, Vought told two men posing as relatives of a wealthy conservative donor that he believes in “Christian nation-ism” and wants to “rehabilitate Christian nationalism.”Vought is also close to William Wolfe, a promoter of Wilson’s thought. A former mid-level Trump administration official and Heritage Action staffer, Wolfe has referred to Vought as his “political mentor.” In since-deleted tweets from 2022, Wolfe said Christian nationalism is the only option to combat liberalism, posting, “You can be a Christian nationalist, or a Rainbow Flag nationalist” before adding, “Choose wisely.”

Today Wolfe heads the Center for Baptist Leadership, a project of the American Reformer, a conservative Christian outlet that has published pieces by Vought. Vought, meanwhile, boosts Wolfe’s work on social media often and has said he is “proud” to work with Wolfe “on scoping out a sound Christian Nationalism.”

Mr. Vance got to the point. They needed to invoke the Insurrection Act, swiftly, to crush the unrest in Minnesota. It would be painful in the short term, he said, but the message it would send - that paid agitators could not get away with disrupting ICE operations — would make sure no one tried it again. (There was no evidence that either Mr. Pretti or Ms. Good

The judicial version of the Streisand effect: Embarrassed by Judge Boasberg's order quashing the Jerome Powell GJ subpoenas, US Atty Pirro asks him to vacate his opinion as moot. Boasberg says no & embarrasses her further. She "harass[ed]" Powell for nothing more than "displeasing" POTUS.
This controversy began when the Government issued two grand-jury subpoenas to the
Federal Reserve Board of Governors. One demanded records about renovations to Board
buildings, while the other sought information on related testimony that the Fed's then-Chair,
Jerome Powell, had delivered betore Congress. This Court found that the subpoenas were meant
to harass Powell and to pressure him to truckle to the President's policy preferences. It also
concluded that the Government had no good-faith basis to believe that Powell was guilty of any
crime other than displeasing the President and that the Government's justifications were mere
pretexts. The Court therefore quashed the subpoenas.
