Have you checked out the "event modeling" technique to go towards an implementation of what you stormed? It's got some interesting extra concepts (slices, common patterns, information completeness checks) that I've quite interesting as a next step.

Many tech organizations report the same: code reviews are the new bottleneck. Other industries have faced similar challenges: when output outpaces the capacity for review, the main method of accountability. How did other industries cope with that? mccricardo.com/bottlenecks-...

While they are not types I'd usually go for, "Apple in China" and "Careless People" really got me hooked and thinking (and interested in more of the genre). Reading Careless People has me thanking the EU for all the regulations and wishing for more.

Yes. But be aware that even within the country, as small as it is, there's a ton of different accents. North, center (Aveiro), interior, Alentejo in the south... Not big differences but just enough to notice. Still, closest to where you are/will be is naturally going to help being understood.

I'm a python noob, so I keep trying to do things I'm used to in other languages... Yesterday was a ton of time trying to trace call sequences in a class hierarchy in unit tests, for instance... capsys.readouterr() seemed to have been swallowing print calls which made it soooooo much worse.

I've been doing pretty well with books - more physical than digital, but less organized note-taking. Articles... not so much. Tons I want to read, but never really getting to them, not finding ways to capture and organize notes from them. Decided to give Readwise's Reader a try. So far so good!
