Something I'm #writing related to agentic integration solutions.
The image shows the beginning of an article I'm writing: "Should agents generate integration code once or let AI figure out how to consume APIs whenever they need to? It's true that dynamic inference at runtime can cause hallucinated payloads, unpredictable latency, and potentially higher costs. On the other hand, letting AI write its own code creates a sprawl of custom integration scripts that may be impossible to maintain in the long term."

100% true. And, honestly, one of the secrets to @nodejs.org's longevity is that we exactly built resilience to this into the governance. No single company can represent more than 1/3 of the TSC for instance. It's never perfect but with effort companies can participate rather than dominate.

The amount of API quality a producer can control is quite limited! Most of the perception of quality is led by consumers. They're the ones who identify if an API is high-quality. We all agree that a high-quality API is critical. However, most people who run APIs don't know how to measure quality.
