“When I’m writing, I use AI for—” “Haha. You can’t write and have zero respect for what writers do. And you owe me money for stealing my shit. Bye.” That’s it. That’s the answer. It’s not a debate.

Sunny and warm in the PNW and I’m out on my lounger, hoodie pulled over my face, black pants, zero skin showing. I imagine this is what it feels like to be a sock fresh from the dryer

THIS. I keep seeing artists in promo mode go "I guess I gotta do a capitalism." No. Capitalism is not the same as currency, it is a specific socioeconomic system that is harmful to all life on this planet. Currency is representative of value for the exchange of goods and services.

Megawealthy madmen performing abhorrent acts in the name of the American dream…luckily these things are just fiction, right?! Pick up @anthonyengebretson.bsky.social’s absolutely brilliant & disturbing LUMBERJACK, damn do we love this book: store.tenebrouspress.com

The cover art by Jonathan LaMantia depicts a bearded, frenzied, multi-eyed face with a fir tree growing from its forehead, rendered in hyper-detail against an all green background.
Text:
WEIRD ECO-NOIR
HISTORICALLY ACXURATE-ish
ONE OF THE 12 BEST HORROR BOOKS OF 2023
FOLK HORROR
CRAZY NEVILLE TOOK AN AXE…
MURDER ON THE PRAIRIE
…AND THEN THERE’S THE DEMON.

Every time I hear Oasis’ Don’t Look Back in Anger I recall being 16 on the couch of my childhood bf in Eureka, CA and her brother playing with my hair while I rested against him. Nothing more than that. Just feeling cared about by someone I’d known my whole life. I don’t even like Oasis

That feeling when you fall in love with a new-to-you artist; make contact; discover a Human w/similar artistic urges & ethics; create a mutual admiration society; &—vital to an indie press!—the $ they request to do what they do is right in your wheelhouse... ...what was I saying? Oh yeah, FUCK A.I.

Has anyone left Vienna, and long before you came to Budapest, the Danube entered a region of singular loneliness and desolation, where its waters spread away on all sides regardless of a main channel, and the country becomes a swamp for miles upon miles, covered by a vast sea of low willow-bushes?

You know how you can do research, go through hundreds of portfolios, and then pay a tattoo artist a lot of money to get an amazing piece of skin art or you can get some shitty ink for $20 from a dude named Rusty who just got a machine and tattoos at home? AI covers are Rusty.
