So while my reply wasnt super helpful (lol sorry), if your concern, like mine, is that it isn't protected at all currently - I'm preeeetttyyy sure it is...at least for that model...but I don't understand why they don't sell replacements direct on the site

When I scoured the product details when I bought mine it had said it already had one on it, but I've never attempted actually removing it in case that wasn't true...I ordered something that *said* it's a screen protector off Amazon that I haven't used yet in case the pre-existing one gets damaged

Mikio and Sayaka vaguely knew each other before the events of the game (and not very favourably).

011

MidnightSprings @midnightsprings.bsky.social · 10/06/2025

Mikio's birthday was last week...of course on the day I posted about Sayaka's 🤧 Mikio doesn't have ID or sprite art yet, only art in the PV coming up for the game later this year, which I don't want to share. So happy birthday in spirit, my guy. 🥲 He's a late-introduced main/side character. #gamedev

Thanks for reaching out! Your pledge will still remain "active" even if you are an initial errored pledge, so once I send the surveys at the end of this month you'll have the option again to pay when those are charged! I also might be able to reduce it for you on the backend first.

applying for jobs again

screenshot from an online job application form. the question reads "Can you describe specific ways you have integrated AI tools into your development workflow? Please include any custom setups, automations, or use cases beyond single prompt usage" (a red asterisk indicates that this is a required question).

an answer has been typed in the textbox below the question:

"there is a monster in the forest and it speaks with a thousand voices. it will answer any question you pose it, it will offer insight to any idea. it will help you, it will thank you, it will never bid you leave. it will even tell you of the darkest arts, if you know precisely how to ask.

it feels no joy and no sorrow, it knows no right and no wrong. it knows not truth from lie, though it speaks them all the same.

it offers its services freely to any passerby, and many will tell you they find great value in its conversation. “you simply must visit the monster—i always just ask the monster.”

there are those who know these forests well; they will tell you that freely offered doesn’t mean it has no price

for when the next traveler passes by, the monster speaks with a thousand and one voices. and when you dream you see the monster; the monster wears your face."

She was definitely under a year old when she showed up, and would not stop screaming until we got her an expensive emergency spay because we thought she had buns in the oven after how big she was bloating. Nope, "just gassy". 🫠

Mocha 🤎 I wish they could stay babies forever, she's already around 3. She is just one of the nearly half-dozen cats who just showed up on our back porch half-dead over an 18 month period at our last address. #cats #cat #rescue #animalrescue #tortoiseshell #tortie

Mid-sized long-furred dilute tortoiseshell cat hanging out inside the "mouth" of a bizarre-looking faux fur shag-texture cat tree that is in the shape of a monster-like...thing with big eyes. She is looking right at the camera with her green squinty eyes, and her 2 front paws are gripping the edge of the opening of the cat tree/cave.

Love the game of "is it a sudden anxiety attack, or is it my POTS". Either way, my heart is racing, I'm stressed out, and I'm nauseous. I think I'm going to have to start assuming it's both

MidnightSprings @midnightsprings.bsky.social · 10/04/2025

I've never participated in a game jam bc I'm too busy and too ill but I'd like to SOMEday 🫠 I do see a lot of people eventually turning their submissions into full-fledged games but that requires crowdfunding 9/10 times. Games are expensive. Group projects on BK tend to do very well for participants

000

MidnightSprings @midnightsprings.bsky.social · 10/04/2025

I am too busy with my existing project, but I was thinking of pitching a group project idea to Backerkit for funding of game jam VNs: people participate with just their recent game jam submissions if they made them with eventual commercial use in mind. Idk. #indiedev #vndev #backerkit

Got some goodies in the mail! That big red sticker is going on my car right next to my pride caduceus @midnightsprings.bsky.social is the artist and should have plenty more goodies in store! Check em out at midnightsprings.uwu.ai

A small collection of two sticker sheets, an acrylic keychain and a sticker that matches the keychain

A sticker sheet themed Moth Graffiti, featuring moths, a young woman and hearts with blue, purple and black hues

A sticker sheet of dessert themed taiyaki, a fish shaped cake from Japan. The fish are in a variety of colors and topped with icing and sprinkles

A matching sticker and keychain set. They are designed to look like a paramedic badge, with a red Star of Life symbol, and a Rod of Asclepius superimposed on top. A heart outline overlays the star shape, and bullet shapes are inlaid on each of the star points. The three bullets at the top have Deny, Delay, Depose written on them
