Not surprised by this at all. All of my customers who are buying equipment right now are almost exclusively building things for data centers. Every other industry has fallen off a cliff. Used to be 80% auto, medical, and aerospace.

On the plus side a new customer used to work for my dad's friend so I got to have one of those "are you [my dad]'s daughter?" conversations. Apparently I once went to a river boat casino in a group with him 20 years ago. Better than the guys he worked with in the 80s who knew me as a toddler!

Can't wait to see the confirmed count for tornadoes tomorrow. Last count I saw for the year so far was 196. We might break 200 after this storm, which is absolutely wild. The largest year before this was 2024 where we had 149!

The best game with littlest nibling was definitely pretend nap time. He really embodied the annoyed parent roll every time I asked for one more story. Exhausted heavy sighs, telling me I needed to close my eyes and try to sleep, and then dramatically giving in with “okay, just one more”. Iconic.

Just realized I forgot to post pictures from my hike last weekend. I'll have to do that later - I saw the pond turtles, almost stepped on a snake, saw some viceroys and monarchs, figured out the "shorter" hike I've been doing for 2 years is actually 6 miles, and got about 40 mosquito bites.
