Agreed. The subtext here from JM is that once lanre had published his article (which he thought was ok but shouldn't have been published "just in case you cared") someone white should have taken the story off of him and led on it.

This has upset me. Lanre - at prof arday's request - sat down with him for two long interviews over the last year and was sympathetic, but asked questions about his wild claims that quite quickly revealed fabrications. Was he supposed to publish lies? Would have ended his career. This is so unfair

Far be it from me to point out that there are 4% more 18 year olds in England and Wales than there were last year, so the figures don't even show an increase in the proportion of kids getting accepted to uni. There are just more of them.

Don’t worry if your A level results are disappointing. When I was a young lad down t pit I got three Vs they had to invent a new letter I was so bad. We didn't even eat bread only leftover crusts. Now i'm a millionaire who takes regular ice baths & has the latest korean skin balm. I only eat brioche
